The Gallon Challenge starts May 2nd!
The. Gallon Challenge is a PE activity where our goal is to educate our students and community about how hard it is to get water in developing countries. Students will be asked to carry a gallon of water around our field to get the feel of the hard work it takes to access water in underprivileged homes and countries. We need to save fresh water because only 0.5% of Earth’s water is available for human use!
Things to think about:
*About 97% of Earth’s water is undrinkable.
*Water regulates Earth’s temperature.
*Americans use 5X the amount of water Europeans use daily.
*There are 326 million cubic miles of water on Earth.
*Brand new babies are almost 70 to 80% water.
